history:born on destiny Islands, a small place he saw as a prison, surrounded by water, he wanted to leave and find new worlds, so he opened up to the darkness, which swallowed him, and Ansem, an evil guy, took control of his body, ansem was defeated, and riku got his body back, but the darkness was still in his heart, he ended up in castle oblivion, where he fought his memories and ansem, defeating him, but the darkness was still there, a witch, Namine, offered to get rid of it, be he declined, wanting to get rid of it himself
