That person is Kyuu... and while he doesn't trust Yagari, Kyuu does, so Gokudera sticks by Kyuu's side and plays the part of one of Yagari's kronies so he can protect Kyuu. His primary choise of weponry are small bombs that he has hidden on his person. Under a strip search you could find over 100 bombs on Gokudera.
